Sean is excited to use his passion and his experience from his first term on council to help shape the future of Carlisle. Born and raised by a middle-class, hard-working family he learned at an early age the value of hard work. During his first term Sean approached his role on council with the same hard working values.
Sean worked as a before-school program coordinator mentoring students and providing them with a safe environment to expand their educational and physical learning outside of the traditional classroom. The future of our communities is dependent on how younger generations are raised.
He spent several years working in municipal government for a 3rd class city of Pennsylvania, both in the Community and Economic as well as the Legal departments. He was the Right to Know Law Officer, providing citizens with timely and appropriate responses to their open records request. This experience guided Sean’s belief that smart growth and economic development, when done the right way, can enhance a community and shape its future. Sean’s work with developers, municipalities and residents provided a unique prospective that weighed the interests of the City in conjunction with its residents.
During his first term on council Sean pushed for government transparency, smart growth, and nondiscrimination policies. Sean worked alongside his fellow council members to help move Carlisle forward by proposing and voting on various projects and policies that benefited all of the residents of Carlisle.
Now, Sean works for the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties. He lives in the borough with his wife.
